Linkey, Linkey Sun are apparently reworking the Java model to make it more VB-like?? This could be good and bad in equal measure. Good: Provides a simplier interface for newer programmer\ those still intimidated by a non-VB envoirnment (no flames please). Bad: Like VB, it is bound to lose some of the basic functionality that is already provided. There is no word on whether the new model will replace the existing one, or whether the two will co-exist. It could go either way, depending on the popularity of the new version. Java 3 anyone??

I see no mention of any syntax changes --

A good idea.

It is mainly about making a java RAD tool. Some sort of powerful java form designer. WireFusion (makes java things) is very RAD oriented - perhaps it will be like that (although probably not).

Chances are it will be more like VB''s form designer. Or a better example might be Borland''s VCL/Form designer.

It will probably be just as powerful as java, but save alot of assing around.
