Get over it. It wasn''t you who went through the pain, and nobody is mentioning hitler because of the pain anyways. The reason Hitler is mentioned so ofter is to either start flamewar or to get the thread closed. There was that guy who said something like "As the length of the online discussion grows, the possibility of someone calling the other one ''hitler'' reaches 1 and blah blah blah and the thread is closed." So people post that on purpose when they don''t like a thread and want it to get closed.
