Right.. your question is flame material, so I suggest you alter it to be more structured. Firstly, what exactly are you stuck with in DirectX? What are you trying to learn, what chapter of what book? Advice to begin with would be to let people know what the problem is you are having, why you are having problems and then ask them what you are doing wrong..

People will just flame you and/or ignore you for posts like this.

Hey, I''m stuct on Direct Draw. My book says somthing
like this:

LPDIRECTDRAW7 lpdd = NULL; 

i know lpdirectdraw7 is the interface, but he doen''t go
into great deatial about how to make a direct x window,
or how it works.

direct x is hard to learn.

ok, the order of what you learn:

start by getting a book on straight c and work out what pointers
are.

then once you are ready, learn direct x!!!

then, AND ONLY THEN, you learn directx, you need to grab an older help file because they seem to be easier to understand.

DONT GIVE UP!! you will MAKE IT!

Kapru, how exactly do you come to the conclusion that they are assholes? All statements were clear and unharmful, expect in those that have a ''different'' mindset of what advice is.

Reaptide advised looking at the great article section of this site which would help demonrealms greatly.

Sneftel provided a link to a site that gives tutorials that walk you through creating a window and more, and hammerstein, asked a perfectly valid question regarding demonrealms OP, which if you read again is very vague.

Did someone not spoon feed you information when you asked for help and is causing this great deal of bitterness? heh.
