Greetings all, I have been using XML for a while and a have recently come across XML-FO (formatting objects). XMLFO can be used for webpages to help structure a site. Although, since it does have limited use in browsers is anyone using XMLFO? What are your thoughts on XMLFO? ----------------------------- "There are ones that say they can and there are those who actually do." Are you referring to eXtensible Stylesheet Language/Formatting Objects - XSL/FO? I have never heard of anything called XMLFO.

This is a usage of XSL/FO I haven''t encountered. Could you elaborate on what you mean by this?

For a current project, we are maintaining documentation in an XML format. We use XSL to translate this XML into HTML for webpage viewing, and into XSL/FO from which we generate PDF documents for printing. This is working out pretty well, and relieves us of the pain of having to maintain two separate sets of documentation.

XSL/FO is a pretty big specification, though, with lots of tags and attributes to keep track off since it''s basically intended as some sort of typesetting language.

Sorry about my description of XMLFO I know it is a little vague and probably is off but thanks for input on it.
