Some people said to the iraqis that showing prisonners on TV was "illegal" (Geneva Convention). But Marines showed Iraq soldiers too. Is this illegal? By the way, Iraq should show the POWs every day, that would prove that they are alive and (somewhat) well.

It''s the manner in which they showed the POW''s that''s illegal. I don''t remember the exact phrase, but compare how the Iraqi media showed POW''s to how everyone else shows the Iraqi POW''s, and I''m sure you can figure it out.

Kind of... its against the Geneva convention to degrade or humiliate POWs. Showing a group of Iraqi POWs for the purposes of our own propaganda is okay but forcing them to speak on TV isn''t.

It goes both ways... the United States ignores Geneva Conventions and so does Iraq...
The United States has also opposed the setting up of a war crimes court....

Why not just call the POWs "illegal warriors" or something, and then humiliate them? The US, who cares a lot for international and treaties, did this, so it must be legal, right?
