Game Creation Tools
Does anypne know of any really good game creaion tools/programs so that i could make a game like starcraft or age of empire or warcraft or command and conquer type games?
I think the best development that suits you, is MOD development. If you want to make an RTS game, you need to learn ALOT. PRogramming, modelling. These two are enough for years!

you not going to find something that can compare with learning programming but one of the better tools is Game Studio and Game Maker. You might want to google those.
You might want to check out Freecraft to see if it suits your needs.
However, you still need to make the art resources for the game. I''m all about open source, so I''d point you to 2d programs like The Gimp and maybe something like Blender for 3d modeling (though freecraft is a 2d game, so you may not need or want to use Blender).
However, since Freecraft is open source, I only saw the source code for Linux....you have to use the pre-compiled binary for Windows. In other words, if you want to tinker with the game engine, it''s be easier to use Linux and make the modifications that way (and GCC the main compiler used on all Linux systems can compile windows programs....as far as I know, you can''t compile Linux programs from Visual Studio).

The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. We know more about war than we know about peace, more about killing than we know about living. We have grasped the mystery of the atom and rejected the Sermon on the Mount." - General Omar Bradley
