Couldn''t you just put the IP address for your router into your no-ip account, so that it''s directed to that?

From the inside of your network your external IP is the router. From outside your network, your router forwards requests to your external IP to internal IPs based on your port forwarding settings.
At home I have to use 192.168.0.20 to see my web-site. www.icarusindie.com brings up my router page.
I have a netgear as well.

To set up port forwarding you telnet into the router which should have an internal IP setting such as 192.168.0.1
Then just follow the menus. To get apache setup you can either leave it the way it is, or edit the conf to use your no-ip.org address instead of your local IP. IcarusIndie.com used to show 192.168.0.20 as the IP of the server in directories with no index file even from the outside.
