ps3

an article i read said ps3 and xbox 2 will be coming out somewhere in 2005. the said xbox 2 will be coming out a little before the ps3.

I wish consoles would just stop being made now. We seriously don''t need any better ones...okay the PS3 and XBOX2 and Nintendo256 should be the last ones...I''m sick of buying a new console every 3 years.

the sad thing is that the XBox will still be able to compete with PS3. seeing that the PS2 wasn''t that much better than the Dreamcast. if the DC had DVD capabilities then it would have been slightly superior, IMHO. so in conclusion a XBox2 is unnecessary to design or develop. well not until another 7 to 10 years anyway.

The "Cell" processor was originally scheduled to be ready in 2005 for the PS3. But considering the delay on the Cell Processor until probably 2006 at the earliest I''d say the PS3 won''t be released until 2006. That would give the PS3 a 6 year life span. 2006 is also the year that we SHOULD be seeing the XBOX2 and successor to the Gamecube. However I wouldn''t be surprised if Microsoft tried to get a jump on Sony and release the XBOX2 in 2005, giving the XBOX only a 4 year lifespan. It''s a pretty safe bet that the Gamecube''s successor will be released in 2006.
