I think I remember this forum having an anecdote thread a long long time ago, but it could just as well be the lack of fluid in my head playing tricks. Anyway - the task is simple: you know an anecdote and you post it. If you don''t have an anecdote, please don''t post. Here''s one: A man goes to a bar and sits down by the counter. His grim face draws the bartender''s attention. "What''ll it be?", he asks the man. The visitor looks up and utters: "A whiskey and another one". The bar tender pours two shots of whiskey and hands them to the man who quickly pours one down his throat and the other one in his pocket. "A whiskey and another one," he says. The bartender is somewhat amazed at the man''s behaviour, but pours him two more shots of whiskey nevertheless. Again, the man pours one down his own thorat and the other one in his pocket. He then continues ordering whiskeys two at a time for several rounds, drinking one himself and pouring the other one in his pocket, until the bartender finally steps up and says: "hey, listen, man - you''re wasting perfectly good stuff here. If you want to this, go elsewhere.". The man looks straight at the bartender and replies: "You got a problem with that?". He then pulls out his six-shooter: "Do you have any idea who you''re messing with? If I hear one more word out of you, I''ll start shooting!". At that moment a mouse sticks his head out of the man''s pocket and, drunken as hell, waves his fist at everybody: "And your cat - we''ll beat him to a pulp, too.". A good Western accent works best for the dialog, drunk voice for the mouse. The joke is actually pretty hilarious if told right.
"Literally, it means that Bob is everything you can think of, but not dead; i.e., Bob is a purple-spotted, yellow-striped bumblebee/dragon/pterodactyl hybrid with a voracious addiction to Twix candy bars, but not dead."- kSquared

This one is really short.

Once I was at the Grand Canyon and I saw a squirl. I wanted to try to pet it, so I walked up to it and stuck out my hand so it could smell me. It grabbed one of my fingers with it''s little hands and bit me. It didn''t even break the skin, but it hurt and I was mad.
The moral of the story is never stay at a hotel in Laughlin, NV when your travelling with your girlfriend and her mom.

Exume my speling.
