Just had this very weird dream.. I was outside a room with a blackboard in it. And I read on the blackboard "[M]/2 = 102102102" (I think it was a ''M'' inside those brackets, but im not sure. But how I could even see the blackboard when I was outside the room beats me, but I did) And then suddenly there was some people with me, and I laughed and said: "What a poorly hidden allegory for satan" (In english!, and I dont normally speak english) And after that I woke up and was unable to sleep for hours. I had to look up in the dictionary on the word "allegory", it says: "a representation of an abstract or spiritual meaning through concrete or material forms; figurative treatment of one subject under the guise of another." Weird, huh? Heard somwhere that if you have lots of weird dreams it could mean that you are going crazy. Anyone else have dreams like this?

If that''s the case then the whole world is going crazy.

Depends on how you define it. I guess most dreams are weird in some way. But some dreams are weird in a disturbing way, like mine, not that I can point out why it was disturbing, it just was.

You probably got the english word allegory from a movie, son't worry too much about it.

102102102 could be the ternary number system...

Ternary, as in base 3? hmm.. would make it 3^8 + 2*3^6 + 3^5 + 2*3^4 + 3^3 + 2*3^0 = 6561 + 1458 + 243 + 162 + 27 + 2 = 8453 ..makes no sense..

That''s kind of funny, you actually did math in your dream. I thought that wasn''t possable without waking up because you have to be awake to use that side of your brain.

Damn, too bad it didn''t become 6666 or something

I thought it wasn''t possible to percieve numbers and letters while dreaming...

Ah well, seems like it was just random numbers then, so I didnt actually do any math in my sleep.

Edit, but I most definately percieved the numbers, I'm not entirely sure about the letter.

Following that logic, I should not be able to read either in my dreams--but I can do both, read and math.

Though I have a theory, that is supported by one other member as well as Jesper T, that in the Dream Plane there is a Paranormal school to teach the dreamers various paranormal abilities.

Now in my dream where is shows up the letter ''M'' stands for unnatural excess energy variable--for use in spell formulas to buffer any energy that comes out of the spell that should not come off.

However, I cannot be of too much use as my dream self actually causes me to forget my dreams (I actually remember telling myself to forget the dream because it would be a bad thing if my waking self remembers the dream self''s abilities and functions).

Can''t percieve number or letters in a dream??

Then how is it that I am spewing out coordinates and distances when screaming around in an F-18?

One time I dreamed I was doing division problems for no reason... No background or anything, jusd division problems in my head. When I got up, the ones I remembered were right, I think. And I can''t do division in my head well at all...

Ever heard of lucid dreaming? Its basically when people do all sorts of things when they''re asleep that they "shouldn''t" be able to do. Mostly they realize they''re dreaming and can control their dreams. Sure most people, every once in a while, realize they''re dreaming, but this is like that except MORE. Some of these folks can do math problems in their sleep. Like someone will ask them what 6 * 2 / 4 is, and they''ll move their finger three times. Its wierd stuff.
I like the DARK layout!

Hey cool, whenever I''m having some sort of nightmare I always realize that it''s a dream, and can wake myself up. Is that some special talent?

Hmm, I dont think so. I havent had any nighmares since I was a kid though, but as far as I can remember I usually realized it was a dream and woke up right before I hit the ground/died/was eaten etc..

I can actually wake myself up from most dreams, as long as I realize they aren''t real.

Numberplay: 102102102 can be divided in three 102:s. 1+0+2=3. So 102102102 = 333. If M/2 = 333, then M = 333*2=666.

Cow of darkness:
No it isn''t.

DakeDesu:
Sounds weird. Though admittedly the brain works in a drastically different way when we are asleep. Which means that Jesper might have heard the word ''allegory'' in such a way that only his subcouncios percieved it and.. you know, stuff.

Yeah, whenever I have nightmares, I realize I''m dreaming then what was so frightning becomes part of a theme-park ride. Weird huh? Then I see a clown and it becomes a nightmare again (I think I have a secret hate for clowns. I mean noone can be THAT happy!)

Clowns may seem happy all the time, but they are only truly happy when they hurt you!

For crying out loud, she has fishes coming out of her head on either side. How can you find this hot?!
