This is my first time using D3D9''s lighting...I''ve just finished my model loader (my own format) and I''m trying to get a single light to work. I got the light working, but the light rotates with the model...the only rotating I''m doing is in the WORLD matrix- will this affect my light, or is my setup faulty? If you need more information let me know. thanks Brian J

bump...i know bumping isn''t within forum etiquette, but my post never showed up on the front page, so hopefully you will forgive me. I''ve looked through the docs and cannot find the answer.

The light should be stationary, lighting only the faces that are facing the light after the model is rotated.

I can''t think of how you made it act differently without changing the position and/or direction of the light, or doing your own lighting in a shader before applying the world transform.

That''s truly bizarre behaviour. I''ve never heard of or seen anything like it.
