Post non-mainstream ruminations/short stories/poems/sonnets here (the kind you think of when you''re drunk or very tired (my case right now) or simply when you''re on this forum). Add a title. Use the Lounge as your source of inspiration. Do not insult anyone, but let your thoughts flow. Don''t swear.

The quill

Swiftly moves the shadow of the word across the room. Wait a sec! Yes - now go on! Locate: atomic mushroom. Then virulently prepend yourself: "Rob" to "Loach" and "Pouya" to "Cat". Form conjunctions and concantenate! The nature of the word is that. Keep them in the head. ''til they come and tear through the lips and the eerie screams fill the galley full. And the quill follows the hand - the portal to the mind that opens half past seven to Neverneverland... Tic-tac tic-tac - calories are counting, DJ APC on D-Day - beware: Linux is unmounting
"Literally, it means that Bob is everything you can think of, but not dead; i.e., Bob is a purple-spotted, yellow-striped bumblebee/dragon/pterodactyl hybrid with a voracious addiction to Twix candy bars, but not dead."- kSquared

I find indie to be the same as the drivel on the radio, the main difference in being able to say "I'm not catchy enough to be signed."
(That is...non gamedev indie. This is just plain peculiar)

You do realise that originally Indie referred to independent record labels, and had very little to do with the band itself, don''t you? The fact that they are already signed by an Indie label pretty much invalidates your point.

Besides that, the term Indie has come to mean a whole style of music now, not just a style of management / publishing, and there are some extremely popular "indie" bands, in the UK at least.

Invalidating the term independent.

I guess that''s admission you didn''t even read my post, where I pointed out indie had become a style of music now, and moved away from meaning what it originally meant.

Anyway, I don''t see how a band signed to an independent label is invalidated from becoming popular. Care to explain that, please?
