hey... I just started learning D3D not too long ago, but anyways, I was planning on making a title screen for a game that I was going to start later on, and I am not sure of the best way to do it. The only way that I know of to do it would be to make a texture and then load it onto a cube, but I''m not sure if that is the only and best way to do it, so if anyone could help me,I would appreciate it.

Hiya,

It depends on what you want to do with this Title screen as a simple method to get you started would be to simply use DrawPrimitiveUP() (look at the first 5 tutorials in the SDK) which will give you something and is very easy to do.
As it is only a title screen you probably wont be doing much CPU intense so using this is OK but it isnt very efficient ingame as it uses sysmem.
Another option would be using a vertex buffer, only slightly more complicated and possibly not worth it for a simple title screen. However, as I said it depends on what you are using it for.

Hope this helps
