Hi, Im trying to make a program that runs an avi file on a D3D9 texture. I have adapted the code from the ''Texture 3D'' sample in the DirectShow samples folder from the SDK, but I have this link error and don''t now how to fix it: DShowTextures.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "public: __thiscall CBaseVideoRenderer::CBaseVideoRenderer(struct _GUID const &,char *,struct IUnknown *,long *)" (??0CBaseVideoRenderer@@QAE@ABU_GUID@@PADPAUIUnknown@@PAJ@Z) Debug/DirectX Work.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals I have come across similar errors, and normally I find its means that I haven''t defined a function somewhere. I don''t think this is the case here though, does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

You''ll need to search for the CBaseVideoRenderer::CBaseVideoRenderer member function in your project. It''s either completely missing, or has several definitions.

Beginners and experts will find answers here.

Ok, I did that, and it compiled + linked fine. But now when I run it, I get a message box popping up saying ''User Breakpoint called from code at 0xbff768a4''. I haven''t got any breakpoints set in my project, so why would it be saying this?

It might not be your code specifically, but the way that you call DX functions when you set up your environment can trigger such exceptions.

You actual code will need to be viewed to determine this.
