OK, I have my window and menu created and i''m trying to create 2 edit boxes on the main dialog for a sort of console (the top and the largest window will show information etc.) and the bottom one is for the user to type commands. Now the thing is, I don''t know how to actually make the edit boxes and make them appear on the main dialog. I tried adding resources in Visual C++ .NET but that only gives me a limited amount and not an edit box (unless I create another dialog but that won''t work). Does anybody know how to create the edit boxes? I could probably make them appear by putting code under WM_CREATE: but I can''t seem to make the edit boxes in the first place, any ideas? Also, the reason i''m not using console application for it is because i''m going to make it display graphs etc. too.

You have to create a window using the windows API function CreateWindow(), use "EDIT" for the classname parameter and the HWND of the main window for the Parent parameter.
