1) Spelling!
2) Grammar!
3) The DirectX SDK is available at http://microsoft.com/directx/.
It''s a collection of include-headers, libraries, tutorials, documents, and examples. The best way to learn DirectX is by buying a beginners book about it. It really helps alot having a look at examples too, which come with the SDK.

Good Luck Learning!

1) "alot" isn''t an English word.

2) "It really helps alot having a look at examples too, which come with the SDK" could be considered bad grammar.

3) "Good Luck Learning!", surely the luck and learning should start with lower case L''s

4) That URL is for the DirectX runtimes not the SDK which is at http://msdn.microsoft.com/directx

Get Direct X 8.1 sdk, cuz vb 6.0 doesn''t support dx9.

However, it''s a lot of headerfiles and stuff you need to code Direct X graphics.

Inside the sdk, there''s a lot of examples and tutorials you could use to learn.

SDK = Software Development Kit. It''s what you need to make programs that utilize DirectX.

You can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=934CE633-A8C7-437D-BA76-32ED4DDED9F0&displaylang=en - but be warned it''s pretty big 175MB for the full download.

As for sites and instructions, etc., well, the documentation is a good place to start. It has some basic tutorials to take you through the basics. This site also has some excellent tutorials under the Articles and Resources section at the top of the page. These forums are usually pretty helpful - just ignore the people who tell you to search Google and such nonsense - guess they forgot what it''s like to be starting out and not being sure where to turn. You might also want to check a local bookstore - there''s a ton of really great books to help get you going.
