I''m putting the finishing touches on my Tetris Clone when I happened to notice the following debug output: The thread ''Win32 Thread'' (0xa44) has exited with code 0 (0x0). The thread ''Win32 Thread'' (0xd1c) has exited with code 0 (0x0). The thread ''Win32 Thread'' (0x8fc) has exited with code 0 (0x0). The thread ''Win32 Thread'' (0xc5c) has exited with code 0 (0x0). The thread ''Win32 Thread'' (0x334) has exited with code 0 (0x0). The thread ''Win32 Thread'' (0xc4c) has exited with code 0 (0x0). The thread ''Win32 Thread'' (0xc64) has exited with code 0 (0x0). I think it''s all somehow related to DInput and DAudio, more specifically when the devices are aquired, but I''ve had no real problem with either of them anyway since I got all that working just fine. Still, I have this nagging feeling that I am missing something. Am I right or is this just some DirectX issue?

Those are just informational messages.

Some DirectX components (and drivers and codecs they load) create extra threads to help with their work.

When your process is shut down (i.e. you stop debugging), all the threads which are associated with that process are also shut down - the messages you''re seeing are just informing you of that. Nothing to worry about.

Why does this sound like explaining to a little kid?

- Ages aren''t displayed on the post screen, never know, I might be...

I could have posted "it happens, don''t worry about it" - to which I would have then expected a response like "yeah, but what does it mean" etc... - the intention wasn''t to be patronising, but "I think it''s all somehow related to DInput and DAudio" game me the impression that the original poster wasn''t aware of DX components and sub-components using worker threads..
