HI guys.... these days i wanna start working with EAX... I started a game with some friends at university and we already built some of the GFX of the game and some AI.... bot for now the game is 100% no sound Since i´m also a studio engenner and have some experience on audio effects... i´m the guy who will try to implement some of the audio of our game.. I wanna use EAX. We work on Audigy2 Cards.. so EAX compatibility should be no problem.. Does any one have expierience with it ?? Is there any tutorial anywhere where i can get any help ?? Some basics of EAX. ??? Any site about EAX Programming is usefull.. thx > BTW, i already read the GameDEV articles about game audio.. i wan´t more. Cheers. I suggest that you take a look at the EAX SDK.

I''ve never worked with EAX before, but that should help you out.

For a really easy way to get at EAX functionality, you could try the OpenAL library. It's available somewhere on Creative's website. You can get basic 3D sound running in a matter of minutes, and it has a bunch of EAX extensions if you want to get fancier.

[EDIT] Actually, the OpenAL SDK is right there on the page that reaptide mentioned. I really should look before posting.

Well.. so u really reccoment using OpenAL to make my sound ??
instead of DirectSound ???

i´ll try...
BTW: i took a look at creative WebSite... but i have to fill a a registration form and send it by mail ( not e-mail ) or fax and then w8 14 days ... and i have no guarantee that i´ll be accepted in the Crative Developer Central.

I´m not envolved in a big project.. just a small project at university... just for fun.. and if the things goes right we wanna make money with it... but for now we just do that for pleasure.
That´s the reason i think i will not be accepted in Creative Dev. Central.

Is there any other documentation in EAX use ?? in OpenAL or DirectSound ???

Thx for the input, guys..

Cheers.
PG
