Stupid post, I know, but I am having too much trouble creating a simple icon in VS.NET. When I create or load an existing icon and make the necessary changes, these changes aren''t registered. For instance, when I edited the default application icon added with a new project, it remains the default icon in view, but if I open it with MS Paint or something, I can see my changes. It''s the same if I start a new icon, but instead it uses the default ''new'' icon image instead of the one I add. I''ve tried fixing all icons with TweakUI and restarting windows, but that doesn''t work. I''ve also tried resaving and doing it all again in MS Paint, but that only causes the loss of transparency, which I need. Any suggestions to help me here?

*Sigh*

Typical Micro$oft. Who knows what they are thinking these days.

I fixed the icon problem, but only because I ended up downloading some 3rd party software instead.

Still, it would have been nice if it were possible to do with the icon editor in VS.NET. After all, wasn''t that what it was designed to do?

Seriously, has everyone had more success at this then me?
