Hi all, This may be a dumb question, but when my terrain program is running in full screen mode, the screen flickers now and then, i.e. other applications in the background can sometimes be seen. You can download this from the link in my signature if you like from the download section. Kind regards, Steve PS - is it to do with VSynch or something ? This is driving me nuts, I cannot get rid of the screen flickering bits of other applications up onto my screen ?!

Anybody any ideas ?

Steve

Finally got it to work, it was the fact that when I had created a window in my WinMain function I was doing the following :

ShowWindow(hWnd, SW_HIDE);

Which I thought didn''t matter for full screen, but it does, I now set it to SW_SHOW and all seems well :-)

Will upload it tomorrow.

Kind regards,
Steve

I have a few suggestions:

1) Make sure your using a double buffered mode.

2) Check if turning V Synk on helps (though frame rates will be lowered I think)

3)make sure there are no mobile phones by the monitor! It might sound stupid this one, but its worth checking

Thanks for the advice James,

But it is working fine now, it must have been the ShowWindow(SW_HIDE) call making it flicker so badly ?!

Regards,
Steve
