searching algorithm

Maybe this is a stupid question, but i never like found searching c++ algorithm for strings.Lets say i have a txt file and a list of people with phone numbers.i need my program to be able to search through it and find exactly or similar and list it.Is there a way for this or something exists that i have missed?Thanks alot
Real life is in infinite number of pixels xy however i use computer finite 16001200Ripper

You could read the file line by line and use basic_string::find to look for a substring.
