I prefer jCreator. Check out their site (www.jcreator.com) when I was looking for a compiler i was used to the VC++ look and feel, and jCreator looks and feels great.

I used JCreator for a long time quite happily. I still have it installed. But I do most of my work in Eclipse now. The feature set (refactoring is my hero) is fantastic. Netbeans and it''s derivatices are just memory hogs.

Eclipse as well. I can''t wait for it''s CDT stuff to be devloped more so I can use it exclusively for C++ as well.

I use netbeans. I like the way it handles projects with its virtaul file system.

Nobody mentioned Gel? I like it... it''s simple, it''s not heavy and does a good work.

what cares the IDE? get the one that likes you, the compiler is forever the same.

Eclipse has it''s own compiler.
