Which work is easier for a programmer being a physics programmer or a special effects/graphics programmer?
For me physic programming is easier.
I''v always been not so good at special effects.
But it depends on person of course. There are both kinds of
I love graphics programming - hate physics. Saying that one is easier than the other is just a null pointer. I would probably find phiysics programming easier if I had a better understanding of physics in the first place, or the desire and motivation to learn it. As it turns out, I have a strong desire to learn graphics and AI, *have* learned more about them, and find both of them infinitely easier than trying to make the objects in my world conform to the the simulated laws of physics.
Depends on what kind of physics - game physics or NASA trajectory calculation and universe simulation physics - and what kind of special effects - game effects/graphics or Hollywood so-good-you-wet-your-pants-and-have-a-prograsm effects.
In other words, it''s a poorly formulated question.

The reason for asking this question is this:I have to choose whether I should build a simple physics engine or get involved with Cg for pixel/vertex shaders for my final degree paper.Forget the easy part. What I really mean is which is going to help me find work easier in the game industry. That is what I want to know.
