Hi, Can I really change the Half Life engine with the source code available, or just the game...hum? Thanks...

There currently is no source code available for Half-Life 2.

For Half-Life, the SDK only included the game source code (not the engine source code). The game source code is used by MOD developers to create a new game using the same Half-Life engine.

Is it really game source code, or just some scripts you modify?

the script engine could well be in HL2

It''s C++ source code, for the entire HL1 game dll (so it has all the marine AI in it, for starters. ). It''s pretty good stuff to look at for examples of how to organise things... there''s a nice pluggable factory setup going on there, for example.
