Anyone listen to Bright Eyes? I discovered them through a friend, and they are quite good, except for a couple a songs where the singing is pretty painful. But the actual lyrics and are awesome regardless.

*googling*...
hmm, nope, haven't heard their stuff

but they have release 26 albums since 1996

...hmm...a band that has so many albums...yet no radio play...IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!! (No body mention der Fuhrer, please, it's getting old)

Lately I've been listening to Saliva. Most of their songs do not fit their image. They look like Rob Zombie, or Korn, but they sound almost like Edwin McCain, and at other times like Creed halfway between Human Clay and Weathered (ie. stepping away from the insightful metal towards the rock ballad), with a few really great exceptions, such as Raise Up.

Hmm, hard to classify. Light rock, perhaps? They''re fairly indie though. check allmusicguide
