I''m having a hard time making my DPSM run on ATI video cards. I converted Register Combiners to Fragment_program. It runs but no shadows! Any info on ATI opengl shadowmaps and vertex_programs? info on ATI opengl shadowmaps setup? Any ATI and OpenGL? Bobby

I had to write some Vertex and Fragment Shaders for ATI a couple of months back.

http://www.ati.com/developer/tools.html

Some nice tools.

http://mirror.ati.com/developer/indexsc.html#opengl

Some demos that use the shaders

http://www.ati.com/developer/ATIHardwareShading.pdf

A paper on the shaders

http://www.ati.com/developer/Samples/ShadowMap.html

Some info on shadow maps.

The spec for the Fragment Shader

I''m using ARB_VERTEX_PROGRAM and ARB_FRAGMENT_PROGRAM.
and ARB_multitexture.

For some reason, it runs on GeForce but not Radeon.
I''ve looked up and down for whatever I am missing, without luck.

If it kind of shows a driver bug, you may submit it to devrel@ati.com and hopefully they will either tell you are misusing an extension or they will assume there really is a driver bug in which case thay will (try to) correct it asap.
