Ok, this is getting to be a serious problem, exspecialy due to my perfectionist nature . First off let me mention i am a fairly good anime artist (as i have been doing so for many years), though my CG skills lack just a little. I wanted to do an ISOMETRIC game featuring these skills, the problem being, it seems next to impossable to get all the animation for a charactor done (thus i presume the reason many ISOMETRIC games have pathetic charactor art) Due to this i have actualy been toying with 3d modelers which i hate (possably to achieve the affect stated in one of the earlier articals) The kind of graphics i am atempting to achieve is that of something like RAGNAROK ONLINE, im sure many of you know of the game. Not the 3d look, but the look of the animation. I AM SURE I AM capable of this quality of graphics, but it just seems that the animation would take forever. What would be the best way to go about getting commercial quality graphics. Are companies using the 3d modeler approch? Or are they all hand drawn? What would you guys sudgest i do?

I would have to say most games nowaday that use a 2D isometric engine (not many) make graphics using a 3D modeler that they then use to render in a 2D form. It is the best way to get consistent high quality graphics in less time. You need to learn 3D modelers if you want to be involved in contemporary game development anyway.
