TeenGames (a team of strictly teenage game developers) is looking for a talented programmer specializing in Java and internet game development. The profits are a four-way split - Jon''s handling all of the coordination, updates, etc., Nick''s on the business end and semi-programming, but we still need a talented Java programmer to build the framework and do quite a bit of the technical develpment. It''s a 2D game, but trust me....it''s fun. If you think you''re good enough and want a good, solid "break-out" game, you''re exactly what we''re looking for. If you''re REALLY good, we''ll probably take you on TeenGames staff - anyway, this post is too long as it is. This is a huge opportunity for someone young and talented to get on the ground floor of something very big. ALL programming credit will go to you despite the fact that Nick is programming as well, and we''ll do our best to get your name out there in the game development world. See if anyone promises anything better than that! Relocation or any of that won''t be necessary; we''ll go ahead and conference over the net. The biggest thing we are looking for is DEDICATION. Skill is important, too, but we are looking to release by the end of August at the latest. Go ahead and tell us about yourself by sending an email to piglet1946@msn.com. Tell us about ANY programming experience you have, and please give us some idea of who you are in general. A real world name, age, and phone number would be preferable too. and for a subject line please put "Help Offered". Look forward to hearing from ya! Sincerely, Nicholas Jessen

Given that you ask to "tell us about yourself," you make it appear that you are going to stalk us...

Number of posts at GameDev = 1.

The first post piglet1946 makes he asks for the phone numbers of young people. Pretty dodgy in my opinion. Is the 1946 in piglet1946 your birth date?

This violates just about every rule of online safety I can think of.

I know it has been said before but it is a valid point you cannot put up posts that are requesting your personal details i.e. name, phone number. The fact that this is your first post would suggest you haven''t got a clue what you are doing in which case why on earth are you making a game, or you have an alternative motive, and why on earth do they have to be teenagers?

Warning to any one thinking of contacting: DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS!

That they have to be teenagers?
Maybe because they are teenagers themselves and would like to work with people around the same age. That is to assume they are who they say they are

Now are you?

Good point but keep in mind, on the internet you can be whomever you want to be.
