Hi, This might be difficult to explain, but here goes: OK, I have the DirectX 9 SDK, and when browsing the DirectShow samples I loaded up the Texture3D sample and it worked nicely. Then, I went on ahead to the source code folder and built the project only to find that when I executed it, I got a message box saying: " Could not create the D3D device! hr=0x8876076c This sample is attempting to create a buffer that might not be supported by your video card in its current mode. You might want to reduce your screen resolution or bit depth and try to run this sample again. " Of course the first thing I tried was changing my screen resolution, which didn''t work, and it can''t really be this anyway because why would the executable in the /bin directory work? Then I tried copying my executable to the bin directory and running it from there which also didn''t help at all. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated, or if you have it, a link to some other sample source code that plays an avi file on a IDirect3DTexture9 or IDirect3dSurface9. Mosh
