Whenever I build my project, I get the following error message: --------------------Configuration: DynMenu - Win32 Debug-------------------- Compiling resources... D:\Computer Science\Tests\dynmenu.h(12) : fatal error RC1004: unexpected end of file found Error executing rc.exe. DynMenu.exe - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s) Now, everytime I double-click the error thing to se where the error is at, it takes me to my header file and points to the last line of code. I''ve reviewed that code over and over and it is correct. BTW, this is a project from the Windows Programming: Annotated Archives book by Herb Schildt. Here is the code for my DynMenu.h file: #define IDM_DATE 101 #define IDM_EXIT 102 #define IDM_12HOUR 200 #define IDM_24HOUR 201 #define IDM_SHOWDATE 202 #define IDM_REMOVEDATE 203 #define IDM_ABOUT 304 #define IDM_LONGFORM 400 #define IDM_SHORTFORM 401 Anyone know what''s going on? Thanks. RapidArp | My Game Collection | My Website | My Journal |

are you using precompiled headers? (you are by default) IF so you''ll have to add #include "stdafx.h" to the code.

anonymous poster and the definition are correct. on some compilers you need an empty line at the end of all your files to get them to compile. failing that, check for unmatched curly brackets

From experience MSVC++ 5 and 6 both need the carriage return at the end.
