What would be the best way to go about getting a game programming related internship. If anyone has had experience with this please post.

Send letters with resumes to local tech companies. Most places don''t have an established internship program, but would be happy to consider it. Spend the time to do research on the company before writing the letter; each should be written for ONE company, and go into specifics about why you would want to work for them, what about them is interesting, and how your specific talents fit their specific needs. Address each one, if possible, to a specific person; you can often get the person''s name from the website, or call and ask. Above all, don''t be shy. Even in today''s wintry economic climate (a cookie to the first person who gets that reference) many companies are happy to find a place for a talented newcomer.

How appropriate. You fight like a cow.
