Is there room today for a Myst-like ?

yeah, Siberia wasnt too bad ... it was a bit dull, but quite enjoyable. im a huge adventure gamer, but ive always prefered the more humourous games (any adventure game by LucasArts) to the more tense/serious ones. The humour helps with all those mind-numbing puzzles

There ius a new Myst game coming out. i never caught on to Myst. I like RPG and RTS games. FPS games seem to hold the market these days. Adventure games are dying.

I think you guys got a good idea there: humour.
Since you mention it I am trying to look at my story from a funny angle. Myst, Riven, Exile, there where kind of depression.
So with prerendered nice graphics, puzzles, humour, music, a little bit of sci-fi, that may bring a larger public.
