These questions are for anyone; I am just curious what your responses will be. If you have questions about anyone''s answers, please ask in a civil way. What are your personal guiding principles? Is there any moral code that you follow, or try to?

I try to impove myself day to day. This includes morals. Guiding pricipals of life are passed down from the parents, and others learned along the way. I have learned that sometimes you have to change your nature to improve your self in certain ways.

Generally though:

1) Freedom to do anything you wish as long as no harm comes to anyone else or yourself.

2) Help someone every day. I am constantly lending a hand to the elderly neighbors.

3) Express inner strife through artistic paths to help yourself deal with lifes troubles. Venting in this way helps you prevent venting such negative things on other people. It also helps you as well.

4) Don''t share misery. This is hard to do since sometimes we all need a shoulder to cry on. But it should not so habitual that it constantly drags other people down.

5) Keep an open mind to new ideas. A closed mind can produce very negative results in a diverse world. Enlightenment can come through this path.

6) Try to see over peoples flaws. Don''t hate them or refuse to socialize them because of few negative aspects to their nature. We are all human after all and we all have our own negative characteristics as viewed through other people minds. Understanding why these people are the way they are if a big step in getting over simple differences.

7) Don''t view a person badly because they don''t socialize or avoid people. It could be because of shyness.

8) Try and see the best in people and not the worst.

9) Day by day, try to know and undrstand yourself. This is an important step to self improvement. If you can see yourself objectivly, you can discover and mend your own character flaws.

10) Remove objects that give you negative vibes, replace them with objects that give you peace or happiness. This will improve your mood and how you feel during the day.

Just a few thoughts.

God''s base commandments (Love Him first, love others as yourself), although things aren''t going well right now. Pride is running strong.

Other things I used to say to myself:

* If you can play life like you can play chess - by coming into the middle of a game and just playing the board as it is - you''re doing pretty good.
* I don''t care what anyone else does as long as they don''t try to get me to do it.
* If I wouldn''t trust this person with my children, then why should I?
It's not what you're taught, it's what you learn.

The most complete, integrated, and consistent philosophy I''ve ever come across (and I''ve studied a lot of philosophy): Objectivism, the Philosophy of Ayn Rand.
