Original Post
I had a computer:
AMD Athlon XP 1900+ 1.6GHZ
Asus A7V266-C
768MB DDR PC2100
Windows XP Home
GeForce 4 Ti4200 64MB
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
250W PSU
Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner II USB
But then it died, so I bought some new parts. Here''s what I upgraded to:
Pentium 4 2.40GHZ
Abit IS7
512MB DDR PC3200
460W PSU
Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner II USB
And all the old stuff.
I put the new parts in the box hooked it up and turned him on. But I couldn''t get into windows. So I tried to repair, but I get crappy DLL problems. What do you think is the problem?

Hehehehehehehe....
Uh, sorry. Anyway, Uh....have you tried tinkering around in the BIOS? Try it to make sure the PC recognizes some hardware components. Otherwise, my choice would be to start with a Windows Boot Disk and see what happens from there.
Are there any specific errors that the machine gives you? A little more information would help.

Yes, I tinkered with BIOS. The system recognizes GFZ Card, CD Drive, Floppy, and Hard.

That''s what I did to try to repair windows. Before I repaired, it would show the windows loading screen for one second then reboot. Now it loads windows, but then goes to the Windows Setup screen like it''s trying to install windows again... Wierd. But I copied down some of the errors:
Here''s what is comes up with when I first get to loading screen:
winlogon.exe - Entry point not found
The procedure entry point AssocIsDangerous could not be located in the Dynamic Link Library SHLWAPI.dll
Then it sits there for a couple mins, then this:
RUNDLL
Error Loading shell32
The specified procedure could not be found.
Then it waits for another minute then:
Fatal Error
An error has been encountered that prevents Setup from continuing. Setup was unable to initialize Network installation components.
Press OK to view the log file.
Then it displays log file. In the log file it has this:
Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\Windows\system32\rseanh.dll because of the following error:
DllRegisterServer return error 2147500037 (80004005)
And a bunch of other erros like that one are in the log file.
Here''s what happened. I had a mobo/cpu/ram. Then I upgraded them. I think this windows installation is trying to use DLLs for my old mobo. So I think I have to re-install windows. Which is no problem because I have one HardDrive for my OS and one for my FILES. So even if I re-install windows I won''t lose any of my important files! Neat huh?

Okay, does anyone know where I can get holy water?
You didn''t reformat the hard drive did you? Windows has enough dificulty coping with a new video card, let alone a new Mobo and CPU.
You need to reformat and reinstall windows.
