Odd proofs

Original Post
Ok, I''m a freak, I spend my time "proving" things that no one ever thinks of. I''ve only found one person like me, who proved that two is odd, among other things (we''ll get to that in a moment). So, how many of you are like me and like to prove things that are generally accepted? Post them! Now! Fool.
Proof that normality does NOT exist:
Let''s start by saying that normality exists, and prove it by a paradox.
1)Everyone is different - Postulate(it''s all over TV commercials)
2)Only one person can be normal if everyone is different. If more than one person is normal, and everyone is different, a paradox occurs, and normality cannot exist. So, for the sake of making this post a tad bit longer, we''ll assume that only one person is normal.
3)If only one person is normal, and already there is some suspicion that this may not be the case, that means the other 6.3 billion people in the world, are not.
4)These 6.3 billion people are abnormal, however, because they are in the vast majority, an argument could be made for their being normal!!
5) Alas, we have reached a paradox the normal and the abnormal are one and the same, despite their being opposites. This can be expressed in math as:
-x = x
and the only value for which the above equation is true, is x==0. There, is our proof!
And if you''re saying I only compared it to people, and that normality is still valid for cakes and flowers, I tell you that I only need to disprove one case for normality to non-exist. I also tell you to go eat your cake and stuff your flowers up your bum.
Disclaimer: The above proof may not be valid, because, having done it in Period 5 English class with the teacher being P-dog, I was probably half-asleep anyway. Good day.

I disagree with this. People are substantially similar in most ways.
quote:
(2x/x)=2
Which is why you write "when x != 0" at the side. You know, just like with every expression where you'd like to divide by something that could potentially be zero, like how x/(x-5) is only defined where x != 5.
By the way, what does it mean when your teacher is "P-dog"?
"Last time, I asked: 'What does mathematics mean to you?' And some people answered: 'The manipulation of numbers, the manipulation of structures.' And if I had asked what music means to you, would you have answered: 'The manipulation of notes?'" - S. Lang

that is a very stupid proof normalitly does not have to be an exact person, it can be any person that fits between these lines and if 4.8 billion people fit than... there you go 4.8 billion people are normal.
I would like to hear the proof that 2 isn''t an even number.

Ok, first off, genetically speaking, humans are 95% alike. However, the 5% is what I''m dealing with, that''s still a massive-ass five percent, when you compare two people. Similar, not THE SAME. So stop trying to refute my perfect proof =)
Secondly, P-dog == nickname for Patterson. It''s just one big joke, and he''s got a thousand different variants of that.
Thirdly, I never said two wasn''t even. I merely said that it was odd.
Here''s the proof:
1) Two is prime. Don''t argue with this one. I''ll beat you senseless.
2) Two is even. 2%2 == 0;
3) Two is the only even prime number.
4) Two is odd, because is the only number of a certain variety (ie, the variety of numbers that are both even and prime).

Well, that would be an even bigger waste of time.
By definition, an even number is any integer of the form 2 * n for some n in I (set of integers).
Also by definition, any integer multiplied by it''s reciprocal results in a value of 1.
Therefore, to prove that 2 is not of the form 2*n, you''d have to prove that 2 * 1/2 * n != n
Or, that 2 * 1/2 != 1
Which can only be possible if 2 != 2, which is fundamentally wrong.
Alternatively, you could assume that there exists no n in I such that 2 * n = 2. But the case n = 1 quickly makes a condtradiction here, since by the multiplicative identity definition, 1 * n = n for any n.
TreizeSG, are you stupid?
You are defining something like the normal of a dataset (I guess you are taking the median sample) then using another definition of normal (commonly occuring thing) and saying OMFG two definitions = it doesn''t exist.
Then you show that you can describe two definitions of odd. OMG!
Cue: If free speech is free, why do I have to pay for pens and paper? As tools of free speech, shouldn''t they be free???!! OMFG we don''t have free speech! It costs money!
