Hi there! I have a job interview this Thursday for a level builder position. I had a brief chat on the phone with a producer about my technical background (Degree in CS) and what games I''ve played and if I had done any mods. What can I expect at this type of interview? I''m use to the regular interview questions but can anyone enlighten me on how level builder interviews go? Thanks!

Just be confident my friend....be confident. And know what you want. NEVER say things like "I''ll take whatever" or anything that makes you seem unsure. Even when it comes to salary...

Okay, so far just sitting here I''ve come up with the real question that I KNOW they could possibly ask...

What makes a game/level fun?

This question is the core fundamental of good game design. This question can''t be answered through personal beliefs. It''s what the mass majority of the population would consider fun.

- Immersive: Story, Graphics, and level object placement. Keep things inline with the story.
- Challenging: to the point where the game/level keeps the players attention but is not impossible.
- Entertaining: Keep the player interested to keep looking forward to that next level.

That''s just a basic of idea of what I''m getting at...of course there''s countless other things to consider (genre/multiplayer/target audience) but just curious if any of the things I''ve said would win me points with the interviewers. Thanks for any constructive input.
