PS Help! Turning opacity into alpha?
I have drawn some text in photoshop and used the blending options to give it a nice glow.
How can I create an alpha channel that uses the correct opacity values so that when I put the the texture in a game, the glowing parts blend in with whatever is behind?

Firstly, you could just save as a PNG, then there''s no need to make an alpha channel.
If that''s not an option for you, then you can just rasterize the effects you have on the layer, then ctrl-click the layer in the layers window to select the transparency, go into your channels window and click the new channel button. The new channel should be automatically made from the selection. Then just save as whatever (alpha channel supporting) format you want.
