Anyone know a quick solution to finding a matrix M in the following situation: Let''s say we have a rotation matrix for the angles R(ax + bx, ay + by, az + bz). In this case the rotation order is XYZ. I want to find the angles mx, my and mz that will build a matrix M such that: R(ax + bx, ay + by, az + bz) == M * R(ax, ay, az) That is the application of the rotation matrix for ax/ay/az on the rotation matrix for the angles mx/my/mz will produce the matrix that I already have for the angles ax+bx/ay+by/az+bz. I know I can solve this by building inverse matrices and getting the matrix M and then decomposing to get mx/my/mz... However I''m curious as to whether there''s a quicker way to get those angles. Thanks to anyone with any ideas...

Guassian Elimination?

Ax ay, & az are known right?
If M & R are solely rotation matrices, then just use a few inverse trig functions on strategic values of M will produce the angles.
The trade-off between price and quality does not exist in Japan. Rather, the idea that high quality brings on cost reduction is widely accepted.-- Tajima & Matsubara
