Runescape

In my opinion, Runescape is terrible. I feel that way about all MMORPG''s that I have played, though.

I had a bot for Runescape.

I hate RuneScape... it really sucks.

Runescape really sucks in terms of graphics, but it has many strenghts:
1. Very small download.
2. Low system requirements.
3. Works on any platform.
4. Has a lot of stuff to do.

it has VERY LOT of stuff to do in my opinion, and original quests, what do other mmorpg''s have more?

Maybe better weapons, because concerning weapons and armor RS is missing some originality (always the same weapon, only a different ore)

I''m waiting for RS3d to come out before I pass judgement on the graphics. I think it''s fun otherwise I wouldn''t have raised my char to level 41 as I stand now. If you''re in game look for me on world 4(same name).

I played Runescape for about 6 months, found Diablo II, played that for a year, then discovered EQ and played for around 1 1/2 years. EQ was far better than Diablo II and shouldn''t even be compared to Runescape. In EQ there are many different spells, weapons, monsters, quests, and tradeskills. The world is HUGE in everquest and the graphics are 100 times better.

Now I play WC3 while I wait for EQ2 to come out.

well i must say from my experience rs was quite a good and addictive game as long as you ignore graphics. it had shitloads to do it had a lot of gameplay in it many career choices in game although it did get a bit tedious just sitting clicking on something over and over and over... i think that things like vagabonds quest are good as they leave graphics completely up to the imagination rather than spoiling it with shitty graphics however it is nice to have some kind of geographics. I am now thinking Eternal Lands is looking very good and not the absolute best graphic wise but i simply love the animals that just came out also the community is unrivalled imho.

Yeah RS is a lot of clicking on the same thing over and over again...

Isn''t that the same in other MMORPG''s, if not how do they manage to let you raise a skill in a non repetetive way?

The only way to prevent scripting for harvesting (since that''s the only leveling up prone to scripting) is to limit the amount of harvesting experience you get/day.
So, that way, only those who play it for a long time can have a high harvesting.
