Spyware overload

Um... It took me five minutes just to get to this site... IE would open to a different homepage then suddly dissapear and make a ding noise at me whenever i tried to close it off... I have kazaa, and i contemplated deleting all the stuff in the promotions folder, but i dont know if it will help at all Where would all the other spyware programs be hidden?

google for spybot. install, update, check for problems and immunize.

Or AdAware, that's a good one. You might need to dl another computer and bring over on a disk or CD, if IE is acting up too much. I don't think deleting that Kazaa stuff would help, personally. It happened to our family's Win98 thing so I downloaded AdAware and everything went away.

EDIT: AdAware found 180 instances of spyware on the computer(though they were not all unique, of course; just related files)

I think at one point it found over 1000 on mine.

I use AdAware. It does a good job. The most i''ve seen was 800 and something on my sisters PC.
