I can''t seem to receive the WM_RBUTTONUP message. I can get the RBUTTONDOWN but up does not get sent. Does anyone know why? Also, is there any way to have more than one window active at a time? For instance in Photoshop all the tool windows look active all the time. Do they fake it and just draw the blue title bars or is there a way to make all the tool windows active at once? -Greg

Do you keep the WM_RBUTTONDOWN? You should pass the message down to the base class or defwindowproc.

The toolwindows are faked. MFC does this (with WM_FLOATSTATUS plus some more tweaking) and a lot of professional tools do too.
It''s just a matter of having a list of windows and tweaking WM_NCPAINT and some more.
Look at http://www.catch22.org.uk/tuts/ at Docking Toolbars (Part 1).
Great explanation.
