perplexed.com/GPMega

does anybody remember perplexed.com/GPMega (Game Programming Megasite)? whatever happend to it? why was it shut down? that site was great, almost even better than gamdev.net (ducks to avoid incoming rotten fruit) . i only ask because i remember that they had a bunch of tutorials on that site that i wish i hadnt deleted. i cant seem to find this one tutorial about screen effects. like alpha stip. and gamma fades, ect. there was one Andre Lamothe tutorial about gamma fades (with directdraw) that i cant find anywhere (not even here). i checked out some of the other gamma tutorials, but none of them seem to be what i''m trying to do. by the way: check it out, i''m a martyr!
