It all started when I decided to add Hitman 2 to my PS2 collection after seeing I could buy this great game at only $49-95. After searching through several shops I found the prices ranging from $100-$80. The best price was for a traded in game at $70. I didn''t feel like paying so much when it was advertised (not for a store, just a general ad for the game) at 50% less. Enter my mother who has just bought a hard to find CD over E Bay. A quick search showed that there were three copies of Hitman 2 on offer, all under the $40 mark. I signed up and and am ready to bid in the final stages of the auction. So have any GDers discovered the wonderful creation that is Ebay?

I can''t sign up (I''m under 18), but my dad uses it all the time.

I have very bad experiences with ebay and will never ever use it again, you can however find me on other online auction sites.

Heh. I don''t tend to do stuff like that when it comes to money. It''s too easy for them to verify.

I''ve spent many a good dollar on e-bay. Though my OCD for new things brought me amazon instead (as all I really buy now are books).

Once in a while I''ll go and bid on Galaxy 5000 for NES, then forget I did that until the auction is over, and then find out I''ve been out bid, oh well.

Ebay is good for rare items that you can''t buy elsewhere. Such as UFO plushies, sound tracks, rare airplane/car models... I''ve even seen Indian lamps up for bid. All kinds of interesting stuff. One time I bought a 150 pack of thin CD cases from a man who sells nothing other than CD cases.

Plus Paypal makes it ten times easier and quicker to pay a seller. Forget money orders/checks.

Yea, you don''t need to be 18. I''ve been using it for years.

Isn''t the "e" in eBay a small letter?
