It comes from a site where one of their reporters is "Scurvy the Clown". I think we can safely throw its credibility out the window...

Hmm.. doesn't look like a bad idea...
quote:
"If Barbie were a career-focused woman working in the IT industry in 2003, she would support open standards," he says. "She would be seeking out free and open-source alternatives to current proprietary solutions, saving her company tens of thousands of dollars on management headaches associated with tracking software licenses and preparing for BSA audits. She would be looking at deploying Linux clients on the desktop and Linux servers in the back office. She wouldn't be willing to sacrifice power for features, and she would demand a system that is stable, secure, and easily configurable."

"Barbie would also be tired of Microsoft's licensing bullshit," he added.

LOL!

So instead of the regular little-girl talk:
"Wow, your barbie''s hair looks soo good! Can i be your friend?" you will surely head smth like:

Girl1: "Hah, I haxored VALVe last night, and stole the source for HalfLife 3, so we can play Virtual Barbie Counter-Strike. I exploited a outlook bug, got root access and ... (add more hacker talk here)"
Girl2: "w00t! you are teh 133t! Can I be your friend?"

Actualy it''s a bit of a shame.

If there really was a BarbieOS - then what''s to stop Mr GNU Man from going and removing all the barbie, making it all pretty, combining it with Lindows and friends and turning out a version of Linux with an interface that can compete with MS?
