Don''t use C++ for this. Use a language that has good support for it. Maybe perl or python. Or better use, use curl (link). On the curl website there is also ''libcurl'', which might have some C++ code that could help you. With curl you basically type (from a command prompt, like DOS or bash): curl www.google.com and it will dump the contents of google (the HTML) onto your screen. It has a lot of other options that will allow you to do stuff like spoof headers and stuff like that.

Look into the wininet API. Start with InternetOpen() in MSDN and go from there. There''s higher level wrappers floating around of course, although I don''t have experience with any specific ones. The wininet stuff is pretty easy though.

LordElectro, thanks for the tip, i''ll go have a look at it.

Russell, don''t get pissed, thanx for trying to help, but next time, if a person asks you for help with something in "A", don''t tell her to use "B", just because you are better in "B"...

Again, thank you both.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? For instance, is this one part of a C++ program, or is this the whole program (filling in forms or whatever)? Give some more details and you could probably get better answers.

Perhaps I shouldn''t have said "don''t use C++ for this", but for what you said, perl, python, or perl will probably be more than enough to do what you want relatively easy. One common mistake a lot of people make is to assume they have to write everything in C++ because that''s what they know, and they let a lot of very good tools go unused and spend a lot of wasted time writing gobs of C++ code when a few curl calls in a shell script would have done the job. I''m not saying this is your situation, but it would be helpful to know more about what you''re really trying to accomplish.
