lol, you kinda have the wrong computer if you want to program games for the mac. If you havent noticed, the mac is not a gaming plat form and there have only been a hand full of games that were written for the mac.
If you want to make games, you make them for windows, period. If your game has excellent sales, it may then get ported to the mac or linux OS''s, or if you know your game is gonna be a huge success like if your game is Quake3, then it will be ported them OS''s immediately.
But in general, if your coding games on a mac, then your pretty much a fool.

Absolute crap. If this guy wants to write games on his mac, then why shouldn''t he?
fillbert - I can''t help with the articles, but I will say that if you''re writing a 3D game you should use openGL - it''ll make it a lot easier to port if you ever decide to, and it''s a very powerful 3D API.

Surely a platform with relatively little games software available
but that exists in decent numbers represents a particularly good
opportunity for the amateur/semi-pro games programmer???
You could be a decent sized fish in a small pond rather than minnow drowning in the PC-WIN-DOS ocean...
Just a thought.

Well, many of our articles are platform independent, but unfortunately, there are no Mac specific ones. We''d happily post them if someone was willing to write some for us (or point me to a site elsewhere that has some so we can try to get permission to reprint them).
