I know that your game design document should be as complete as possible, but if you need to change something would it be better to err by putting too much in it than too little. For example, is it better remove features to the game or add them, or should it be set in stone before you start programming at all. - TMOLI 42 Powered by hypocrisy! "Go crazy? Well, from what I''ve done and what I''ve read here is how I would respond:

Write down every idea you have for the game. Maybe put a section in the design document "extra features to add". You don''t have to add them, but if you want to you can. You do not need your design document set in stone. Try to stick to the basics of it, because otherwise you will never get anything done. However, it is a fact that some things look better on paper than in the game. If you find that something needs to be changed, go ahead and change it. Try not to add too much more when programming a game because otherwise you will never finish it. Overall I would say write more stuff in the design document than you need and feel free to delete some stuff, but always remember you shouldn''t bite off more than you can chew.
