I saw a few episodes of it, and it was hilarious. I''ve never really watched the Simpsons, but this is exactly how I would have pictured it. I like the complete random nature of the jokes and the pop-culture references.

Fox is indeed far worse than we all imagined if it takes a show being sold to 3 (or more) other networks and being shown on them regularly for them to realize they have made a mistake in cancelling it.

Bring back Andy Richter, it was by FAR the best show... perhaps ever. Next, bring back Futurama, then, bring back Family Guy.

Edit: and the reruns are doing extremely well on all networks, WITHOUT EVEN NEW EPISODES. Of course you can't count Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Anything would do well if it were insane and put there.

Far too much time has passed
For us to lament that we were in love.

I never really liked it until I saw a few episodes recently.

Man, when Stewy made fun of Shatner''s "Rocketman", I was rolling. For those who never saw the real thing, just watch that episode of Family Guy (it was the big Penis episode). They did not do anything extra to it, just copied it exactly...

I honestly don''t know what killed this show. It is the funniest show I have ever seen (animated, that is). SNL gets on my nerves with obvious and sometimes childish humor, but Family Guy has a certain edgy quality to it. I watch it every night on Cartoon Network as I am doing my homework...which I really need to do now!

ACtually, they need to bring back Firefly before they bring back anything else (Well, Family Guy can come first... No, nevermind, Firefly must be first). Next to 24, that''s the best show I''ve ever seen.

PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!
It was the funniest show of all time. Perhaps even better than South Park.

They''ve got very similar styles of humor. I think Family Guy is definately the superior show, though.

I haven''t much South Park, what I DID see was stupid and immature. Family Guy seemed to cater to a higher intelligence level, IMHO (though it did have "dumb" moments too)

Family guy was chock full of alluisons and references. You could go for half of entire episodes and not totally get the joke unless you were well read/watched. The show did kinda beg to be cancelled... there's a reason it was cancelled three times . South park is juvenile (but you will only really get the jokes if you're over 16). Bring back Fastlane, Andy Richter, Firefly- but give it money and kill James Cameron, and of course those animated Griffins. I guess you could bring back John Doe. And even though Fox has little/nothing to do with this someone should make Andromeda and Enterprise not suck anymore.

From what I remember of the two shows [admitedly, without cable I haven''t seen either in a while], the primary difference between the two shows is precicely the level of intelligence. At every place where the Family Guy would make a smart joke, South Park would make a stupid joke. But all the jokes were in place.

Similar styles, although not identical.

The killer scene in tonight''s episode was the scene of the news man reenacting the scene from ''Fast times at Ridgemont high'', where she (Phoebe Cates) dives in the pool, comes out and takes off her top. Oh man...what a great scene that was...the Cates scene that is.

The bad episodes were really awful. The good episodes surpassed excellent. If they bring it back, it better be with clever humor.

It''ll be interesting to see what they will do. Seth was/is working on a new animated show for Fox named American Dad.

American Dad - This series focuses on a family consisting of Stan, a right-leaning C.I.A. agent; his wife; their two kids, including a liberal daughter; a housebound alien named Roger; and a French-speaking goldfish.

Firefly and Andy Richter. Same time.

There should be an entire network dedicated to kick ass shows that abc, fox, and nbc have cancelled. There are quite a few.

Family Guy is probably the funniest animated show I''ve ever seen in my whole life (it far surpasses the Simpsons, IMHO). I''ve got all of the seasons on DVD so far, they''re great.

Anybody ever see the episode where the Griffins take Stewy to Cosby''s show (Kids Say the Darndest things)? That was hilarious
