For the second time in the past month, I''ve come across people trying to raise awareness of Lyndon H. LaRouche''s candidacy for the Presidency of the United States. I''m short on time right now, so I thought I''d pose the question to the community: who is he, what does he stand for and what else do you know about him? And does he stand a chance in hell?

I see LaRouchies at my campus all the time. I don''t know much about him, but from the little I have read he seems crazy. He doesn''t have a chance in hell.

I''ve never even heard of him. What party does he run for? Obviously since he''s not a Repub/Dem (or I''d have heard of him, I''m sure), that means he doesn''t stand a snowball''s chance in hell in this country.

Every single person I''ve met who supports LaRouche seems to be brainwashed. I have never had an intelligent conversation about politics or otherwise with a LaRouchie.

LaRouche is a Democrat, a very black sheep Democrat. He doesn''t get any support from the party. His positions are far right and are easily described as neo-fascist. What little following he has could be desribed as a cult of personality. His followers have struck me as brainwashed as well. He doesn''t have a chance in hell.

LaRouche doesn''t have a newbie''s chance in DDR at winning this. People are sided with their political groups, and if you aren''t in one, chances are no one gives a crap to look up your political beliefs.
