weird problem

i have installed the direct x 8.0 sdk, from lib to runtime stuff, everything, including the dx that needed to run the game, but i try to open the exe file from the cd of programming rpg with dx book, it just disappear after it shows up for 1sec with nothing, its same for almost all the code example, someone have tried the exe file on their computer, and it shows up with stuff. whats wrong with my pc???

Dude try copying the files to your computer, maybe it''s trying to write something like a diagnostic?

I dunno, try compiling a sample? Make sure you installed the Debug Version and build one of the samples.

i sure did that, but still didnt work, samething for the tutorials of dx from ultimategameprogramming.com

Run dxdiag.exe, it''s installed with DirectX8 and 9 and you can use it to test whether DirectDraw and Direct3D are working properly. It should be in your command path so you can run it from Start Menu->Run...

thx alot, now its working, i just ahve to install a new driver, before mine didnt support dx 8 or 9
